The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring the daily activities of field personnel to ensure efficient service delivery and operational effectiveness. This position serves as a central communication point between customers, employees, and management by receiving service requests, assigning work, tracking schedules, and resolving operational issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

+         Receive, prioritize, and dispatch service requests to appropriate personnel.

+         Coordinate daily work schedules and route assignments to ensure efficient coverage and timely completion of work.

+         Monitor field activities and adjust schedules as necessary to address changing operational needs.

+         Communicate with employees, customers, and management regarding schedules, assignments, delays, and service updates.

+         Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, work orders, service requests, and employee assignments.

+         Track and document job status, completion times, and service outcomes.

+         Respond to operational challenges and take appropriate action to minimize service disruptions.

+         Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

+         Provide administrative support related to scheduling, reporting, and operational documentation.

+         Generate and distribute reports regarding dispatch activities and operational performance.

+         Assist with after-hours or emergency dispatch coverage, as assigned.

+         Collaborate with managers and supervisors to improve workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction.

+         Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

+      High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

+      Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of dispatching, scheduling, customer service, logistics, or operational coordination experience preferred.

+      Experience using dispatch, scheduling, or workforce management software preferred.

+      Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

+      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+      Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

+      Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

+      Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

+      Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

+      Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

+      Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during high-volume or emergency situations.

+      Knowledge of scheduling, routing, and customer service principles preferred.

+      Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

 

Preferred:

+      One-year prior industry related experience.

 

The typical pay range for this role is $42,000 -$52,000. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
