As an Analyst, Financial Reporting, you will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and play a key role in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for the Parent Company at the group level. You will support the management reporting function and ensure that finance-related policies and procedures are executed accurately and on time. In this role, you will also collaborate closely on project-related initiatives from a financial perspective, ensuring alignment with internal processes and policies. Your responsibilities will include variance (flux) analysis, special transaction reporting, and compliance coordination with subsidiaries, contributing to the integrity and transparency of the company’s financial reporting.

Responsibilities

+      Prepare and review external financial statements and supporting schedules in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

+      Assist in the consolidation of subsidiary financial reporting and intercompany eliminations.

+      Distribute and consolidate monthly and quarterly flux (variance) analysis templates.

+      Review account reconciliations company-wide to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy.

+      Support the review and enhancement of financial reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.

+      Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and documentation standards, particularly in the financial close and reconciliation processes.

+      Promote consistency by ensuring all team members follow standardized reconciliation templates and procedures.

+      Monitor and support the reconciliation of intercompany general ledger (GL) accounts at the group level, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and alignment across entities.

+      Assist in the preparation of lease accounting, significant accruals, and inventory control.

+      Prepare and support intercompany reconciliations, including debit/credit note issuances.

+      Prepare roll-forwards for intangible and tangible assets, capital leases, and fixed assets.

+      Support the oversight and documentation of significant transactions and special projects.

+      Participate in ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

+      Assist with other tasks assigned by the supervising manager, including distribution and consolidation activities.

+      Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including General Ledger, Marketing, and Operations to gather data and ensure alignment.

Qualifications

+      Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+      1-3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or corporate accounting.

+      Strong understanding of IFRS and financial statement preparation.

+      Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls is a plus.

+      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.

+      Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+      Ability to write and present financial reports.

+      Business acumen and soft skills to effectively carry out his/her responsibilities.

+      Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The typical pay range for this role is $62,000 -$100,000. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position may include a discretionary bonus based on performance.
