As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will perform a variety of tasks under general supervision of the Credit Manager. You will rely on extensive experience and judgment in order to be responsible for applying cash, verifying transactions, monitoring incoming payments, spotting accounting discrepancies, reconciliations, and payment inquiries.

+ Manage assigned receivable portfolio.
+ Handle daily cash applications for checks, wires, ACH, and credit cards
+ Apply relevant skills and adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure the prompt processing of accounts receivable payments.
+ Proactively identify and resolve customer payment issues through thorough research across multiple systems and tools.
+ Communicate effectively to internal customers.
+ Identify and implement sound payment solutions with customers and identify root causes of delinquency.
+ Analyze customer deductions and supporting documents to determine if deductions are valid.
+ Handle highly complex account reconciliations.
+ Contact customers to request backup documentation. Escalate issues when needed.
+ Maintain spreadsheet controls of cash received and unearned discounts for all divisions.
+ Process and maintain files/control for all discount waivers.
+ Manage/participate in special projects as necessary.
+ Associates degree in Accounting or related field
+ Minimum five (5) years Accounts Receivable experience
+ Solution-oriented, customer service savvy, and strong oral and written communication skills
+ Self-starter, leader and motivator
+ Fluent with GAAP process and requirements
+ Highly organized with ability to multitask
+ Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Systems experience (Oracle)
+ Advanced excel knowledge and skills.
Preferred:
+ Experience in a multi-system discipline environment
+ Systems experience (E-Automate experience is a plus)
