As a Finance Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting, accounts receivable, internal control team, treasury and FP&A on a rotational basis. This would include performing tasks and reporting requirements for each team on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

+     Responsible for tracking, tagging and maintaining existing fixed assets and preparing various fixed asset reports and schedules as necessary.

+     Assist the accounting team with uploading daily cash journal entries into Oracle for timely posting of time sensitive cash reconciling adjustments.

+     Perform ad-hoc accounting, financial, and reporting tasks as needed.

+     Assist the accounting team with administration of the month-end and financial reporting SharePoint site to ensure compliance with key JSOX controls.

+     Complete special projects and participate in continuous improvement projects as assigned.

+     Assist with treasury management tasks as needed based on requirements.

+     Assisting the accounts receivable team with financial and reporting tasks as needed.

+     Assisting the financial, planning and analysis team with adhoc presentations and analysis as required.

+     Assist with subsidiary reconciliation and ad hoc inquiries for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

+     Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

+     Demonstrated previous experience performing Accounting, Finance or Economics-related tasks (experience can be obtained through college coursework/projects, internships or on the job)

+     Ability to meet assigned deadlines

+     Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

+     Attention to detail and accuracy and exceptional problem-solving abilities

+     Excellent written and oral skills that will allow for effective communication among internal stakeholders

+     Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and management

+     Strong strategic analytical skills, detail oriented and accurate.

+ Intern program will start on 9/8 and run for 21 weeks.

+ 32 hour work week (M-Thu) and must be in office.

 

Preferred:

+     Working Knowledge of Oracle, specifically working with G/L, A/P and Fixed Asset modules

+     Good understanding of accounting and financial concepts and the working of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.

 

The typical pay for this role is $21/hour. This pay rate represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
