    The Business Solution Consultant (BSC) will contribute to the achievement of the company’s channel growth and sales targets by developing end user engagement strategies with KDA’s U.S. - based Certified Total Document Solutions Dealers (TDS Dealers) within the assigned region. This position supports the KDA regional sales teams in developing their respective territories by driving business growth plans within existing dealers, as well as new dealer recruitment and development, following KDA’s corporate “TDS’ business strategy and sales/pre-sales training methodology (ADIMO).

     

    In addition, this position will provide regional support for strategic pre-sales business initiatives, such as, but not limited to: IT Services, BPI/BPO, EIM/EDM; provide “Level 2”field support to those organizations, when required and approved by the GVP, Corporate Marketing and Business Services.

     

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure all designated Certified TDS dealers with an assigned region are engaged and pro-actively deploying KDA’s “total document solutions” value proposition to their end customers, following Kyocera’s ADIMO sales methodology.
    • Ensuring designated dealers are current on all sales/pre sales training and certifications; create business plans to ensure those dealers are putting the learning into practice; providing practical support, where required to reinforce the core training principles to ensure the dealer’s sales/pre-sales teams” confidence in deploying KDA’s value propositions, locally.
    • Effectively direct and track the weekly, monthly and fiscal half activities and overall performance of the assigned BSCs within each region.
    • Develop, deliver and maintain post training business strategy practicums, as applicable, in support of company-wide training initiatives for its channel partners.
    • Take an active role in providing input and feedback to Corporate Marketing regarding end user business and workflow requirements, general business and vertical market trends, as well as software development/customization opportunities.
    • Sets and tracks the BSCs’ direction for all end user engagement processes through a pre-approved SOW; sets and assigns professional fees and manages KDA field and/or channel partner expectations of those fees, where required, to maximize dealers’ long term solutions selling capabilities and minimize the impact on KDA’s profits.

    ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Monitor business and competitive trends in their respective territory, providing real time updates of each region’s business status, as required.
    • Track the performance of the BSC staff; set specific and measureable objectives tied to the Corporation’s goals.
    • Provide continual feedback to marketing and senior management regarding market conditions and new market/new dealer partner opportunities.
    • Comply with and maintain accurate and timely report requirements as established.
    • Activity participate and manage team participation on all Kyocera training programs as well as third party training programs, as directed.
    • Working with RSMs, develop business plans by designated TDS dealers to ensure core training and business processes are properly deployed at the dealership and track dealerships’ performance to the plan, providing the necessary guidance and governance to ensure the
    • Corporation’s brands are properly presented in all end customer engagements
    • Ensures all objectives and targets are met, including long-term and time-based objectives for the Corporation.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Group Director, or GVP.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in several of the following disciplines: channel marketing; business development; field-based staff management (virtual office), sales support; network/ workflow development; field based training and skill development.
    • Knowledge of enterprise network technologies, user network environments and related terminology
    • Knowledge of advance color technologies, with pre-press bacground as a plus.
    • Ability to identify and analyze customer document imaging and workflow requirements, closely following the globally adopted “ADIMO” process and assist channel partners in developing those core skills.
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Ability to travel 70% (overnight) required.
    • Physical requirements: standing, sitting and working with computer, bending, and light lifting.
    • Employee must reside in the Northeast Region. Company does not provide paid relocation. Employee must self relocate.

    Preferred:

    • Degree in Information Systems and/or Marketing, or equivalent experience.
