Reports directly to the Vice President of Finance. The objective of this position is to oversee the KDA Direct Operations and KDA Group Affiliate Accounting and Financial Management process. Qualified candidate must possess “hands on” operational and technical accounting experience and be able to trouble shoot accounting issues and directly assist in the closing of subsidiary, affiliate and headquarter general ledgers. Will also assist in the development and implementation of accounting policy and procedures as well as standardized internal control practices at all subsidiaries and affiliates.


  •  Direct all Direct Operations Accounting and Finance personnel.
  • Assist KDA Group Affiliate Controlers in resolving Accounting and Internal Control issues
  • Review Direct Operations and KDA Affiliate compliance portal for ongoing compliance with KDA Group policy and procedure
  • Maintain a “hands on” approach in working with subsidiary and affiliate Controllers to ensure timely resolution of any accounting process and/or system issues. 
  • Work directly with the VP of Finance in development and implementation of Direct Operations and KDA Group accounting policy and procedures.
  • Work directly with the VP of Finance in implementing a standardized internal control framework across all Direct Operations Subsidiaries and KDA Group Affiliate Companies.
  • Review monthly reporting package submissions from KDA Direct Operations subsidiaries to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with corporate policy and procedure. Communicate any issues or anomalies to management in a timely manner.
  • Work directly with the VP of Finance and CFO in performing acquisition valuation analysis and purchase accounting.
  • Oversee integration of accounting architecture for newly acquired KDA subsidiaries and KDA group affiliate companies.
  • Oversee coordination of Direct Operations annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist the VP of Finance in working with outside auditors to coordinate quarterly review and annual audit procedures.
  • Ensure proper control of expenses by performing comprehensive monthly analysis of expenses compared to budget and prior month trend. Communicate any issues to management and initiate timely corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly account reconciliations and other required analysis in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Perform financial analysis, develop and provide management reports for executive management.
  • Hire, train and evaluate finance and accounting staff.



  • BS in Accounting
  • 10 years minimum experience in a controller position.
  • CPA qualified with strong operational and technical accounting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfortable working within a consolidation software system
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Internal Controls implementation experience.
  • Excellent hands on skills in working with industry recognized accounting systems (preferably Oracle and E-automate).
  • Experience partnering with IT in the development and/or enhancement of financially significant software applications.
  • Physical requirements: standing, sitting and working with computer, bending, driving for long periods of time and light lifting.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% (includes overnight and internationally)
  • Proficient in working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Company paid relocation is not provided. Candidate must live within commuting distance to Fairfield, NJ.
